NECTAR-ITA
The Center for Airline Economics of the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (NECTAR-ITA), is located in the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology, São José dos Campos, São Paulo State, Brazil. It is dedicated to applied research in the air transport industry in the country. Initially constituted in 1977, with the pioneering initiatives of Michal Gartenkraut, and reestablished in 2004, NECTAR-ITA has its origins in the foundation of ITA itself, in the early 1950s, with the arrival of air transport economics professors from the United States, namely William L. Grossman and Dole A. Anderson. NECTAR-ITA has the support of The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) since its relaunch.
