LACTE is the Latin American Center for
Transportation Economics. In portuguese we are NECTAR (Núcleo de
Economia dos Transportes) We are a research center of the
Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA). We
are one of the few centers of the world exclusivelly focused on economic
research applied to air transportation. Our experienced
team of researchers is
formed by scholars from many research institutes in Brazil and
abroad. We are officially certificated with the Brazilian research
agency CNPq (DGP).
We have an institutional agreement with the Brazilian government's
Secretariat for Economic Monitoring (SEAE)
in order to contribute to the competitiveness of the Brazilian
Airline Industry. We offer a MSc's degree in the economics of air
transportation.
